This presentation helps educators model the process of determining the overall credibility of a traditional print or digital source and of AI-generated text. Through educator-directed metacognitive and source-analysis activities, students learn to consider all factors that may impact credibility before using it in scholarly work. For traditional print or digital sources, students are encouraged to consider origin, author, purpose, perspective, academic, and relevance. For AI-generated text, students are encouraged to consider similar factors, such as context, alignment, academic, plausibility, and verification.
